Grief is universal but there are dynamics and nuances that can be specific to cultural identities and experiences. In this online workshop series, Kimberly Hong, a palliative care clinical social worker, will facilitate learning about the Asian American journey of grief, exploring community support, and considering different coping strategies when grieving. We will be joined by Carrie Batt, founder of SEOL CARE for a presentation and discussion about disability at end of life. Carrie trains people with disabilities, their loves ones, and service providers on how to develop a disability informed approach to end of life and grief support. She also offers disability competent end of life care and bereavement support services to the disability community.
