This community event will offer an informal, open conversation about end-of-life planning, death, and dying, shared over refreshments. For those curious about the end of life, Death Cafés offer a safe, accepting place to ask questions or share experiences. They are held on the third Thursday of each month.
The Death Book Club convenes next month on Sunday, the 17th of May at 11 am PST / 2 pm EST / 7pm BST to discuss Being Mortal by Atul Gawande. Conversation runs for about an hour via Google Meet. Deathly Matters is a one-day community conference dedicated to doing death better, featuring 12 speakers exploring emerging perspectives on death, dying, grief, MAiD, death doulas, green burial, ritual, psychedelics, and more. This is a monthly offering, happening on the second Tuesday of every month. This offering is designed to support somatically moving our shared and personal grief. We begin to build our container through brief sharing and connecting and then move into movement, vocalizing, wailing, praying, and drumming. We are building community through acknowledging and exploring the shared human experience of grief and loss.

This thought-provoking and imaginative session centers on legacy-making and creative expression at the end of life.
