We carry grief in our bodies. Lean into your grief with breathwork, meditation, and yoga. Using art, writing, and story sharing, the organizers will lead a small group through various movement that help move heavy feelings through the body and discussion and writing prompts that aid in processing the many different types of grief we all carry. Mat, props, & snacks provided. Bring a mug for tea, and your own mat if you’d like.
All kinds of grief are welcome. The death of a loved one always brings grief, but we also feel grief over any big change, including divorce or break ups, job loss, the death of a pet, a move to a new city, and other big changes. We can also feel grief for the collective, like because of war and climate change, and because of ancestral trauma. It’s all welcome here.
The goal is not to heal our grief, but to work with it in new ways that help us embrace the grief so we can grow with it.
We will be sitting on the floor when we aren’t moving, including during writing and sharing activities. The space is accessible and all the activities can be adjusted as needed.
