Adrianna’s brother Andrew died by suicide in 2010 and his death catapulted her life into death work and mental health advocacy: she became a suicide awareness trainer and interventionist. She toured her one-woman show Everything But the Cat… for 10 years about suicide loss and bereavement\, utilizing her storytelling background to create inclusive space to open a dialogue around death and dying. In 2019 Adrianna’s coworker Roberta asked if she wanted to go to Disneyland and South Korea to celebrate getting off chemo for stage four breast cancer; Roberta had a year to live and wanted a companion to get through her bucketlist and of course Adrianna said yes and embraced being a Death Doula for her friend. Holding liminal space and being comfortable in the discomfort has led Adrianna to become a hospice volunteer and grief counselor. She is currently in a fast-tracked Bachelor’s of Social Work to become a grief therapist to complement all the training she has done as a death worker. Her practice is anti-oppressive\, radically feminist\, and magically authentic to ensure she centers her companions where they are at on their care journey. SUMMARY:Grief Beyond Graves: Queer Mourning & Collective Healing
DESCRIPTION:Less Fear | More Fierce: Queer End-of-Life Planning\nLGBTQ+ Centric Online Discussion Series\n2nd Wednesdays | 1-2:30 pm ET | | January – June 2026 \nWhat would collective healing look like if we made space for every kind of queer loss—not just the ones with headstones? \nGrief isn’t only about death. Queer and trans people often carry grief from non-death losses—family estrangement\, identity erasure\, loss of community\, housing\, or health. \nThis session explores disenfranchised grief and collective mourning\, offering space to name\, witness\, and begin to heal these often-invisible losses. \nWe’ll also touch on grief in response to social and political violence\, and how we can create rituals for communal mourning and resilience.

SUMMARY:"It's Complicated" Support Group
DESCRIPTION:A monthly peer-led Zoom group for people who had a strained relationship with someone who’s died. It can be tough to be in a group with other folks who were close with their parent\, sibling\, grandparent\, partner\, co-parent\, friend\, etc. As much as I like for there to be a range of experiences represented in grief groups\, so that we can hear diverse perspectives\, sometimes it is nice to be with people who “get it.” When addiction\, mental health challenges\, conflict\, estrangement\, abuse\, etc. were a part of the picture\, it can affect the grief journey in unique ways. This is a space for us.

SUMMARY:Childfree By Choice & Grieving
DESCRIPTION:It’s not a given that everyone who is childfree by choice is 100%\, unabashedly content with the decision. While we may be set in our choice\, there can still be grief there. I know there is for me. It’s a both-and/two truths situation. Many of us make this choice for a lot of unfortunate\, depressing\, and/or systemic reasons\, and I created this space where we can be with our truths\, and hurts\, around it all. \nOur monthly peer-led Zoom group is intended to be a space for people who have chosen not to have children. It is not intended to be a child-loss support group or infertility support group\, although if you have prior experience with infertility and/or pregnancy loss and have since decided to not have children (meaning you are now childfree by choice) feel free to join and see if it’s a good fit.

SUMMARY:Meditations on Death and Dying
DESCRIPTION:Meditations on Death and Dying is a monthly series of explorations and discussions devoted to honest\, thoughtful engagement with death\, dying\, and grief as essential parts of the human experience. Meeting on the last Saturday of each month\, this series offers a welcoming\, reflective space to approach mortality not as something morbid or distant\, but as something we live alongside every day. \nEach gathering features a guest with a unique relationship to death through lived experience\, professional work\, spiritual inquiry\, or philosophical reflection. Together\, we explore the physical\, emotional\, spiritual\, metaphysical\, and philosophical dimensions of death\, as well as the quieter ways loss shapes our lives\, relationships\, and communities. \nRather than offering doctrine or conclusions\, Meditations on Death and Dying invites shared inquiry. \nInaugural Gathering \nOur inaugural guest is a funeral director\, Marine\, and war veteran\, offering a deeply grounded perspective shaped by both service and loss. \nThrough his work as a funeral director\, he is regularly confronted with the fundamental reality of human existence: that we move from spirited\, living beings into organic matter that eventually returns to the earth. \nAlongside this physical truth\, he also bears witness to the emotional realities of death\, particularly the experiences of those left behind and the ways our culture makes space\, or fails to make space\, for grief. \nThis first exploration moves between the natural\, practical\, philosophical\, and even supernatural\, honoring both the tangible realities of the body and the invisible forces of grief\, memory\, and meaning. \nWhile the conversation may be intimate\, honest\, and at times raw\, it is guided by compassion and care. The intention is not to sensationalize death\, but to create a more loving and accessible way of relating to death as a fact of life and to grief as an ever-present\, often unseen force many of us are carrying. \nThis gathering is free and open to all.\nSpace is limited\, and RSVP is requested to ensure adequate seating. \nWhether you are actively grieving\, quietly curious\, philosophically inclined\, or simply seeking a deeper relationship with life\, you are warmly welcome.

DESCRIPTION:It’s not a given that everyone who is childfree by choice is 100%\, unabashedly content with the decision. While we may be set in our choice\, there can still be grief there.
