The Last Stitch Society

The Exchange 617 Marin St, Vallejo, CA, United States

The Last Stitch Society creates space for the conversations many of us crave but rarely find—about mortality, grief, loss, and how we might live more fully by acknowledging life's impermanence. Bring any portable craft project—knitting, embroidery, mending, sketching—and join us as we stitch and share. No experience necessary, just an openness to authentic connection. Light refreshments provided to nourish both body and conversation. In a culture that often pushes difficult topics into the shadows, Last Stitch Society offers a warm, welcoming environment to explore the full spectrum of human experience. Together, we'll unravel the threads of meaning that connect us […]

Bound By Loss Reading Circle

Virtual Event

Bound By Loss is a thoughtfully facilitated book circle for those navigating loss who feel ready to engage with their grief through reading, reflection, and discussion. This circle will provide a supportive, non-pathologizing space to explore grief-related literature — offering insight, validation, and connection outside the structure of formal therapy and with a return to community in mind. Each month, we’ll read and discuss a selected book, ranging from memoirs and personal narratives to research-based explorations of grief, loss, and meaning-making. Conversations will be facilitated with care, fostering curiosity, self-reflection, and shared experiences. While this is not a therapy group, […]

Death Café – Ybor

Spookeasy Lounge 1909 N. 15th Street, Tampa, FL, United States

A Death Café is a warm, welcoming gathering where people—often strangers—come together to talk openly about death, dying, and the meaning of life. There’s no agenda, no selling, and no judgment—just real conversations over tea, coffee, and usually a bit of cake. It’s not a grief support group or a therapy session, but a space for curiosity, reflection, and connection. By talking about death, we often discover how we want to live more fully. At its heart, a Death Café is about breaking the silence and creating a community where life’s hardest topic becomes a source of shared understanding and […]

Childfree By Choice & Grieving

Virtual Event

It’s not a given that everyone who is childfree by choice is 100%, unabashedly content with the decision. While we may be set in our choice, there can still be grief there. I know there is for me. It’s a both-and/two truths situation. Many of us make this choice for a lot of unfortunate, depressing, and/or systemic reasons, and I created this space where we can be with our truths, and hurts, around it all. Our monthly peer-led Zoom group is intended to be a space for people who have chosen not to have children. It is not intended to […]

Tour Almudena Cemetery (East Cemetery of Madrid)

Almudena Cemetery of Madrid Avenida Daroca nº90º, Madrid, Madrid, Spain

From @entretumbas (IG), in collaboration with Experimenta Madrid, we organize these guided tours of the Almudena Cemetery, whose real name is the Necropolis of the East of Madrid. It is the largest cemetery in Western Europe (120 hectares, 120 times the size of the Santiago Bernabeu stadium!) During our tours, we learn about the history of the cemetery, so closely linked to that of our city. We visit the tombs of historical figures and other anonymous but highly interesting graves. We also learn funerary symbolism to understand the language of the cemetery. All with a gender perspective, positive death, and […]
