SUMMARY:Dead Parents Club
DESCRIPTION:Losing a parent changes you. It’s weird\, it’s heavy\, it’s lonely. Dead Parents Club is a grief circle for anyone navigating life after the loss of a parent (or parents). This is a space where the whole of you and your grief are welcome\, however it shows up. \nWe begin with a short grounding to connect with your body and breath\, and then the circle is open. The rest of the 90 minutes are yours: to share\, to listen\, to cry\, to sit in silence. Whatever you need. There’s no pressure to speak\, and no need to perform your grief in any particular way. This space is about showing up as you are. Whether your loss is new or decades old\, whether you’re feeling raw\, numb\, angry\, relieved\, or all of it at once\, you’re welcome here. Though if your grief is still very fresh and raw\, know that this isn’t a support group in the clinical sense. \nRSVP required\, spots are limited. SUMMARY:Support for our Grieving Community - Guided Discussion & Educational Workshop
DESCRIPTION:Grief isn’t only something we experience after a death. We grieve relationships\, careers\, dreams\, and a changing sense of safety\, and many of us are also grieving the state of the world itself. These everyday griefs are often unspoken\, yet they shape how we navigate life and care for one another. Many of us are wondering how to stay engaged with what’s happening in the world while also caring for our own mental and emotional well-being. \nThis 90-minute interactive\, donation-based grief workshop explores grief as a life skill – one that helps us adapt to unwanted change\, understand what we need to cope\, and remain open to compassion for others during times of distress and communal grief. \nThis workshop offers grief education\, guided sharing\, community connection\, and a grounding practice to support living well and caring for others during times of communal grief. The Death Network was founded with community\, curiosity\, and connection at its core\, and this workshop with grief coaches Wendy Kessler and Claudia Faerber reflects that intention — creating space to be honest\, present\, and human together. \nThis workshop is for those seeking helpful\, practical ways to understand and navigate everyday grief as it shows up in daily life. Whether your grief feels clear or hard to name\, you are welcome here — to learn\, reflect\, and be in community with others who are also finding their way. \nCreated for those looking for helpful ways to navigate everyday grief as it weaves through daily life\, this space welcomes both the named and unnamed losses we carry. Come to learn\, reflect\, and sit in community with others walking a similar path. \nThis workshop is offered by donation to keep it accessible to all. Your support helps us continue creating community spaces like this. Venmo: @thedeathnetwork\nThanks so much!

SUMMARY:"It's Complicated" Support Group
DESCRIPTION:A monthly peer-led Zoom group for people who had a strained relationship with someone who’s died. It can be tough to be in a group with other folks who were close with their parent\, sibling\, grandparent\, partner\, co-parent\, friend\, etc. As much as I like for there to be a range of experiences represented in grief groups\, so that we can hear diverse perspectives\, sometimes it is nice to be with people who “get it.” When addiction\, mental health challenges\, conflict\, estrangement\, abuse\, etc. were a part of the picture\, it can affect the grief journey in unique ways. This is a space for us.

SUMMARY:Childfree By Choice & Grieving
DESCRIPTION:It’s not a given that everyone who is childfree by choice is 100%\, unabashedly content with the decision. While we may be set in our choice\, there can still be grief there. I know there is for me. It’s a both-and/two truths situation. Many of us make this choice for a lot of unfortunate\, depressing\, and/or systemic reasons\, and I created this space where we can be with our truths\, and hurts\, around it all. \nOur monthly peer-led Zoom group is intended to be a space for people who have chosen not to have children. It is not intended to be a child-loss support group or infertility support group\, although if you have prior experience with infertility and/or pregnancy loss and have since decided to not have children (meaning you are now childfree by choice) feel free to join and see if it’s a good fit.

Using modalities such as Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT)\, channeling and hypnosis\, she guides sensitive people to heal old patterns and traumas\, and embark on a new chapter of spiritual evolution. Esné is a twice-certified Master in traditional and modern Usui Reiki\, and practices shamanic energy work\, in combination with Master Plant dieta retreats in the Peruvian Amazon. Esné has ongoing training with the Amazonian jungle ‘Master Plants’ within the context of the Shipibo shamanic tradition. She facilitates Ayahuasca retreats within Peru and abroad. Additionally\, she is deepening her work with the subconscious at the Institute of Interpersonal Hypnotherapy\, licensed by the Department of Education in the US\, as she is a recent graduate as a Certified Transpersonal Hypnotherapist program. Follow her for more events and service offerings: @Natural.Esne on Instagram\, Facebook \nAdrianna Prosser\, aka Lady Death Doula\, Death Doula and Grief Educator\nYou might have seen Adrianna on CTV’s The Social as a special guest talking about the Death Positive Movement\, or heard her on CBC Radio One across the country talking about grief and bereavement\, or in Canadian Business Magazine as a death industry disruptor\, or liked one of her TikTok videos sharing her journey as a Death Doula. Adrianna’s brother Andrew died by suicide in 2010 and his death catipulated her life into death work and mental health advocacy: she became a suicide awareness trainer and interventionist. She toured her one-woman show Everything But the Cat… for 10 years about suicide loss and bereavement\, utilizing her storytelling background to create inclusive space to open a dialogue around death and dying. In 2019 Adrianna’s coworker Roberta asked if she wanted to go to Disneyland and South Korea to celebrate getting off chemo for stage four breast cancer; Roberta had a year to live and wanted a companion to get through her bucketlist and of course Adrianna said yes and embraced being a Death Doula for her friend. Holding liminal space and being comfortable in the discomfort has led Adrianna to become a hospice volunteer and grief counselor. She is currently in a fast-tracked Bachelor’s of Social Work to become a grief therapist to complement all the training she has done as a death worker. Her practice is anti-oppressive\, radically feminist\, and magically authentic to ensure she centers her companions where they are at on their care journey.

SUMMARY:Grief Beyond Graves: Queer Mourning & Collective Healing
DESCRIPTION:Less Fear | More Fierce: Queer End-of-Life Planning\nLGBTQ+ Centric Online Discussion Series\n2nd Wednesdays | 1-2:30 pm ET | | January – June 2026 \nWhat would collective healing look like if we made space for every kind of queer loss—not just the ones with headstones? \nGrief isn’t only about death. Queer and trans people often carry grief from non-death losses—family estrangement\, identity erasure\, loss of community\, housing\, or health. \nThis session explores disenfranchised grief and collective mourning\, offering space to name\, witness\, and begin to heal these often-invisible losses. \nWe’ll also touch on grief in response to social and political violence\, and how we can create rituals for communal mourning and resilience.

SUMMARY:Monthly Wailing Ceremony
DESCRIPTION:This is a monthly offering\, happening on the second Tuesday of every month. This offering is designed to support somatically moving our shared and personal grief.\nWe begin to build our container through brief sharing and connecting and then move into movement\, vocalizing\, wailing\, praying\, and drumming. We are building community through acknowledging and exploring the shared human experience of grief and loss.
