This weekly reading and discussion of Radical Mindfulness will explore the causes of injustice and how to achieve social transformation. Drawing from scholarly literature, the author suggests the existential fear of death is at the root of oppression, and that meditation and ritual can be pathways to structural change.
This will be different from most book clubs. There is no homework; each week we pick up where we left off and read together. We will pause for questions, reflections, clarifications, as ways to engage the material. We look forward to creating a community of both practice and curiosity. (We estimate 6 months of reading together!)
